Tips For Successful Lawn Irrigation
At Challenger Irrigation, we are passionate about helping our clients water their lawns and landscaping in an easy and effective manner. One excellent way to do this is with an irrigation system. During the summer months, we know that our area receives large amounts of rainfall in a short amount of time. It can become confusing to know when to water your lawn and landscaping to ensure that you are not overwatering or underwatering your property. We want to share some helpful tips for a successful irrigation experience:
Water at the Proper Time
Due to the extreme heat in our area during this time of year, it is important to water your lawn and landscaping at the proper time to avoid burnout. It is best to pre-program your system so the watering occurs during the early morning hours before or just after sunrise. You want to avoid watering your lawn during the hottest part of the day, as the water will immediately evaporate, causing your lawn to burn or become damaged. You also want to avoid watering your lawn at night so the water does not sit and create mold or fungus.
Length of Time to Water
Your town or county may have regulations concerning the length of time you can water your lawn and landscaping. Our team at Challenger Irrigation can help you determine the appropriate time to water your property, which will also be determined based on the time of year.
Be Mindful of the Appearance of Your Lawn and Landscaping
It is important to regularly inspect your property to determine if you are having an issue with your lawn or possibly your irrigation system. Your irrigation system is working properly when your lawn looks lush and green. If you notice areas that are brown or appear to have an issue, your irrigation system or sprinkler heads may not be working correctly.
If you are concerned about the state of your irrigation system, have a system in need of repair, or would like a quote for a new system to be installed, we would love to assist you with all of your irrigation needs. At Challenger Irrigation, we are happy to serve Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, and Citrus counties. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
